Move Along...

"... when all you've got to keep is strong move along, move along like I know you do. And even when your hope is gone move along, move along just to make it through..." ~The All-American Rejects "Move Along".

This song if I actually programmed my Nike+ would be my "Powersong" the song that when you need a boost, you push the button and on it comes. This is my "you can make it" song that I crank when I'm having a bad day, a bad time with something or even just struggling with something. It has a really good beat.

Today was work out #2 of the week 4 routine where you have to run for 5 minutes straight and I tell you the first five minutes was hard but the last run 5 minutes ... yikes. I find that for about 3 minutes I am usually good, by 4 minutes I'm struggling and to get to 5 minutes well it's just a plain miracle. I have NO idea how I am going to do the last work out of week 5 where I warm up walk for 5 minutes then just run (jog) for 20 minutes without any walking intervals. I look at that right now and think that the lead up to that one better be good because honestly I am not sure if my body is ready to be able to do that yet. I definitely feel sore in my muscles this morning and my knees a wee bit too. I did stretch a bit after my run this morning and will start doing that everytime from now on.

Well, guess what day it is?! That's right kids it's TUESDAY!!! I love Tuesdays (well we all know this is not always true but I love them for the time being). This week I lost 3 lbs!! for a total of 43lbs! When I first got up and got on the scale it was only 2lbs lost but I only weighed once. Its a digital scale so I usually weigh, get off, weigh, get off, weigh get off. Just to check the consistency to make sure I'm standing in the right place, etc. But I was needing to get on the treadmill so I only got on once. After my work out and shower (with wet hair and all) I thought hmmm, I wonder and did the 3x weigh check and sure enough each time it came out 1 more lb less so I am going with the 3lbs lost. YAY. :)

Anywho, gotta get back to work - so here's my run this morning (and yes, this is my longest distance so far... again!):

8'29"/km pace, 471 calories burned

Congrats on the 3 pounds! You're working your butt off, literally, you deserve it!
