ARGH

The title of this post pretty much sums up how I am feeling these days about my weight loss. Today, as we all know, is Tuesday and you know what that means - so on the scale I got and up 1/2 lb. I know in the grand scheme of things .5 of a lb isn't that bad but I SHOULD be consistently losing 1-2lbs a week and I've not lost anything in the past 4 weeks pretty much. I can not wait for my fill next Thursday June 12, boy do I need it.

On a good front, my treadmill that I ordered is going to be delivered tomorrow afternoon! Woo hoo. The website said 2-4 weeks shipping and it will have been less than 1 week from when I made the order, can't complain about that at all! Now I just have to sweet talk the honey into putting it together haha and come up with a work out plan... any suggestions?

If you really want to get the weight off, I'd give the couch to 5km a go with your new treadie. It won't be easy, but you'll feel so proud of your achievement! And if any of the weeks are too hard or you're not ready to go to the next, you can stay on that week's schedule until you're ready to move on.

hi, im a 22 year old woman who has been "stalking" your blog for about a week now. im seriously considering lap-banding and have been researching it for a while, but quite frankly im scared to even think about actually DOING something. i just want to let you know that you ARE inspiring. i am in awe of your strength and courage to do what you know is best for you. you are very self aware, and i definitely admire that you are doing something wonderful for yourself at the tender young age of 25, lol. i hope its alright that i might contact you again? keep on trucking sister! -kristen

start running - slowly... i made the mistake and wanted to RUN RUN RUN (really fast)... s l o w it down then go even slower than that. almost like a walk where you are in a 'running motion'.

you can find couch to 5k on coolrunning.com and there is a podcast that helps if you have an ipod (not sure of the name of it, but if interested i have it at home).

you might also want to look into interval training. (HIIT - high intensity interval training) you pick a cardio (bike/ellipt/treadmill/etc) and go at a nice pace, then for anywhere from 10 secs to 1 min you PUSH IT. pump it so hard you want to collapse, then 'normal pace' for 2-3 mins then repeat... its a fat buster!!

So cool that you'll have your treadmill! I agree with jusme, interval training is the best and its not "too" difficult AND they say it burns the most calories AND trains your heart to recover quicker.

Great new pic! Funny how almost all of us cut our hair after we lose some weight! I just cut off over 8 inches!
