First Fill!

Yesterday was my first fill appointment and the worst part of it - the drive. When I went in for my appointment we went into the exam room he weighed me, we chatted and then I jumped up on the table and lay back for him to look and poke around my tummy. He said that the port feels to be in a good angle and it should be really easy. The doctor that assists him with surgeries is another doctor in the office and he's yet to get to see a fill done as he's usually with his own patients but seeing as I was there early in the a.m. he was available and came in to watch. He poked my belly to feel my port a few times. They cleaned the spot with the alcohol wipes, he had his needle first poke nope, second poke over a bit and right in the port it went. I hardly felt a thing!!! A tiny pinch and that was that. He put in 4 cc's (my band holds approx 7cc's in total) of saline and was all done. I sat up, he went over the next few days diet with me (that day clear liquids like apple juice, today full liquids like yogurt, cream soups and tomorow mushies then reintroduce soft foods slowly. So needless to say of course I am HUNGRY and I don't know how much restriction I really have from the fill since I'm only drinking my meals at the moment. He said to come back in 2-3 weeks to reevaluate if I need another fill and see how I'm doing - unfortunately he was booked up for 4 weeks straight so we will just have to see how I am doing and see if I can get in on a cancellation - otherwise my next appointment is April 4.

I HOPE HOPE HOPE that this fill gives me decent restriction!
