Figuring my head out

A day or so ago I was trying to figure out why only losing 28 lbs in 2 months has been bugging me and getting me down. I know that 28lbs and 5.5" inches is a great start and nothing to sneeze at yet it was still getting to me until I figured out why...

Previous to the beginning of last year I have maintained the same weight for about 3 years or so and prior to that I lost 50lbs on Weight Watchers (kept it off). So I have been used to weighing the same amount for about 3 years with maybe a 5 to 10 pound flux. Then in February of last year I decided that I needed to try something else and attempted Medifast (a "eat one sensible meal for dinner", ie: low fat meat and veggies, have two of our shakes and then 2 other of our meals whether it's soup or pudding etc. type diet). And I tell ya that stuff was TERRIBLE. I ordered one month to try it out and start and it was expensive ($300 for a month). I made it through maybe 3/4's of the month and lost about roughly 17 lbs (yay) but after I couldn't handle it anymore and oh man it was nasty I gained that 17 lbs back and another 15 or so pounds of revenge came back with it. So now I weighed even more than I did and maintained for years. During the rest of the year and towards the end of the year I gained more weight and when I knew my surgery was coming up I had "last supper syndrome" some kinda bad and gained overall another 15 lbs or so.

So now I have lost 28 lbs (WOO HOO) except losing that 28 lbs has put me back to where I was prior to the Medifast fiasco and where I was at for years and I think that I was so used to weighing that amount that now when I look at the scale and see that amount it frustrates me because it seems like I haven't gone anywhere yet and I'm two months post op. Since having this little epiphany I think that I will not be so hard on myself as to why it seems like I am not doing well - because I am doing well my head needs to catch up and realize that rather than giving myself a hard time.
