My Commitment to Me

I have done a lot of thinking and in agreement with what people have commented/emailed me, I am being too hard on myself. I didn't put all this weight on in one day I can't expect it to come off in one. One step at a time, one day at a time.
I want to lose enough weight to look great in my wedding dress next May and if I do not start to focus and get my butt in gear, that will never happen. Darrell and I have talked about food and we are going to make a better effort together to eat, we will eat healthy meals and have one day where if we want to have something like a hamburger and fries then we can.

After much thinking I have decided to buy a treadmill. I'm sure some of you are thinking "but you have an elliptical that I am sure you don't use very often" and you are right, I do and I don't. I find that I cannot do more than maybe 10 minutes at a time on the elliptical before my legs feel like they are going to fall off and that I will keel over. I want something I can do at home (since I'm kind of a home body) and well I can walk at least for more than 10 minutes without my legs falling off. I want something I can use to alternate with using the elliptical.

So I ordered one online from Costco (one of the best ones I have seen so far even with going to some stores here, with one of the best warranties).

Here are the specs on it:

Wow, I'm jealous of that treadmill! Good on you for making the decisions you have.

My husband and I had the same food talk recently, its so much easier when your partner is on board.

I'm sure you'll look fabulous for your wedding next year - but I understand how you're feeling - I was the same though about looking good for mine last June!

Ang, I think your doing great. I know it's hard to get motivated, stay motivated and to eat better. I love my treadmill and have even started the couch to 5k challenge. A month ago I would never have been able to walk/run for half an hour and now I can without problems. I actually like going on it now and look forward to it after work and I seriously HATED it-like nobody could ever hate something hated it.
You are going to look amazing in your wedding dress. Think how far you have already come and you still have almost a year to go.
