You're closing and you sold my membership to who? Er what?
So I drove by my gym last night on the way back to my best girl friends after we went out for dinner and saw a sign up that said new gym opening soon see the paper for details. I got home, flipped through the paper and sure enough it's changing completely and they will be "honoring old memberships" when they open. How nice of them. So I phoned the gym to get more information... Apparently the owner sold the gym to some new company and sold the memberships to some other gym in town which is GHETTO at best and they are closing the doors as of Dec 15. They did not know when the new gym etc would be reopening. I feel bad for the gym's staff as they basically all got laid off 2 weeks before Christmas. I was like.. I don't want to go to the Pumphouse (yah the name's as stupid as the gym) that's crap can I cancel my membership (a year membership) without penalty? Apparently yes, yes I can I just need to stop by and fill out some paperwork. Good because GRR. So I will stop by and get all that cancelled and then I shall check out the gym at the leisure center which I probably should have done in the first place had I not brain farted and forgot it existed. Their membership (not locked in for a year) is $11 cheaper per month and you get access to the entire place which includes the pool etc.
Yesterday was weigh in day and I am OFFICIALLY less than the weight that I put on my drivers license!!!! YAY YAY YAY. Did I mention .. YAY?
Do you think it's time to invest in new underwear when you have to roll them over and down so they fit properly?

Thanks Tan! You're such a great cheerleader, I can't wait until I get to cheer for you! :)
Victoria Secrets - here you come!
Well done and love the car. Gym membership contractual arrangements are some of the dodgiest in the world (is dodgy a word known outside Australia?)
Mel
Hehe! Thanks Mel! And yes, "dodgy" is used in Canada as well :)
